Social Media Posting Policy

The Blacksburg Volunteer Rescue Squad uses social media to creatively and succinctly provide information of public interest to our followers. These are online discussion sites and not public forums.  

Comments must be thoughtful, productive, and appropriate to the conversation. The town reserves the right to delete or hide submissions that:

• Contain vulgar language, personal attacks of any kind, or offensive comments that target or disparage based on race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, political affiliation, sexual orientation or disability.

• Are spam or include links to other sites

• Are off-topic, or commercial (offers to buy or sell goods or services) 

• Advocate illegal activity

• Promote or oppose particular services, products, or political organizations and candidates

• Infringe on copyrights or trademarks.

While visiting these sites, participants do so at their own risk, taking personal responsibility for their comments and any information provided. By commenting or posting, participants specifically agree to hold the Blacksburg Volunteer Rescue Squad, Town of Blacksburg, Montgomery County, its employees, volunteers, and officers harmless from any liability associated with your comment or post.
